Expansion tanks
Emptying tanks
The expansion vessels are used in thermal oil and hot water systems. They serve to accommodate the volumetric expansion of the heat carrier during the system warm-up.
The expansion tanks are equipped with safety valves, in order to safeguard the system against pressure exceedance or min. level undercutting.
In the case of thermal oil systems the expansion tanks can be optionally equipped with nitrogen blanketing. This serves to protect the heat carrier against contact with the atmospheric air. This prevents oxidation of the heat carrier and increases the service life.
Expansion tanks and emptying tanks – vessels for thermal oil systems are designed in accordance with DIN 4754 with / without nitrogen blanketing.
